Leonard has been busy working on his music and officially launched his second album “Life Is a Celebration,” on May 13, 2017, in Whitehorse, Yukon, at the Jarvis Street Saloon (202 Hotel), at an African Night event. See the poster. The new album includes 11 songs recorded in the East African music style called “bongo fleva.” There are also some songs with a mix of music from African and other cultures. The album has songs with messages about life, the environment, the UN’s sustainable development goals and of course fun! As a songwriter, singer, drummer and dancer, Leonard offers songs and a style of performing that represent his African culture, which he feels proud to be sharing with the world.

Leonard collaborated with other musicians in the songs on this album. These musicians are Nicole Edwards, Rebecca Law and Rima Chammas. He co-produced the music with Brian Quaye, who is a talented music producer at Diaspora Studio in Calgary. Leonard also worked with another amazing producer, Laurie Malo who runs Rainbow Recording Studio in the Yukon.
